• Notes: Arranged from an Icelandic folk melody from Bjarni Þorsteinsson’s “Icelandic Folksongs (1909)” in spring 2015. After composing  Söknuður for a CD release by Melodia chamber choir, I felt inspired to take on this lullaby, which composer Bára Grímsdóttir introduced to me during a course in folk music at Iceland Academy of the Arts. Easy to perform, and written in only a day or two, it utilizes some of the same harmonic and aesthetic properties as Söknuður. Sadly  the timing didn’t match with the recording sessions, so it has yet to be performed or recorded.
